This is Mr. Wilkins first year at McLean High School. He came to us with many years of experience in education both in public schools as well as in government service. His various duties include: working with teachers on problems related to their classwork, with students and parents, he is alsoin charge of thetextbook rental system, works with instructional materials, substitute teachers, student teachers, and represents the school on the local and state levels. The rapport he quickly established with both faculty and students has gained him the respect of all people connected with McLean High School. ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL FOR INSTRUCTION, Mr. George Y. Wilkins Mr. Lyons has been at McLean High School for ten busy years. His duties are many including: coordination of student transportation, preparation of many statistical reports, handling of many student problems, and cleanli¬ ness of the school building. Mr. Lyons, in addition to being an able administrator, is a friend to whom one can turn for guidance and help. ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL FOR ADMINISTRATION, Mr. Joseph J. Lyons, Jr. Mrs. Lowe is a person of tremendous warmth and ability. She has been at McLean High since its doors opened in 1955 and there is probably no one who has contributed more to the success and happiness of the school and students as she. Her administrative duties, at times, seem overwhelming, but a student or teacher with a problem is never turned away. To McLean High School, she epitomizes the type of Guidance Director all school s desire but few are lucky enough to have. 11 DIRECTOR OF GUIDANCE, Mrs. Mildred M. Lowe
