Getting Back In to The Groove chool life had a tremendous IMPACT on the students of McLane. It was an experience that everyone had shared at some point in their lives. One could make school life very enjoyable or terribly miserable. Some McLane teenagers discov- ered that school life was more than just attending classes and hitting the books. By being closely in- volved they shared the feelings of many, and in the end, they stated that school life meant having a sec- ond family. Friends had a powerful IMPACT regarding school life. They were al- ways around to keep us company and to comfort us. Friends made school bearable and fun. For some, school life without friends would have been terrible. One of the traditional parts of school, choosing classes, was a nightmare for the student forced to reschedule. Finals, never ending homework, and those dreaded re- port cards, were either rewards or punishments, depending upon the effort put forth by the individual student. This part of school life de- finately had an IMPACT on every M.H.S. student. When students looked back at school life, they not only remem- bered the positive and negative points, but the IMPACT it imprint- ed upon their hearts and minds. 6515 School Life gg?-Lrefl-Right. G d Buddies Are More Than Just Friends uddies have a lasting IM- PACT on each and everyone of us. A buddy is someone really cares about you and who returns the feeling. A buddy is a person one can trust and rely on to always be there when need- ed for support. Buddies are buddies and friends are friends. Many people think they're the same but this is not so. Friends are people one visits with and talks to. A person can share with them their deep- est and darkest secrets. lt takes a lot of effort and giv- ing to be someone's buddy. To be a buddy a person needs to gain the others understanding, love, trust, and acceptance. Sometimes there is not always a need for words because a buddy knows a person well enough to understand the silence. A buddy is someone who can make one 's life fuller and richer. A person is wealthy, because lov- ing, trustful buddies are very dif ficult to find. Some people have more than one best friend, which is good. The more good friends the bet- ter. One 's best friend could be someone who a person has known practically all their life, or it could be someone they've just met. After the high school years end, be sure to always stay in touch with buddies because as one grows older, they can still make an IMPACT on our lives. who www if Mx nw, VE? isa - mf. 1 M . v '-fa W-Eefeggls M3111 Fillin' up.
