STANDINGS Edison McLane Roosevelt Fresno Bullard Merced Clovis Madera W 14 9 9 8 7 7 2 0 HBH TEAM Bee Highlanders landed the highest berth on any NYL ladder for any of the McLane first year teams when they garnered a tie for second place with the Roosevelt Bs in the league's MB bas- ketball standings. Edison won the league with an unmarred 14 and O record. The teams tied for second posted 9-5 records, and were followed in fourth place by Fresno High School. It could be said that no team from McLane worked any harder than did these boys, for many a time they had to come from behind to win, or try to hold out a one or two point lead. The Highlanders won eight games by a four point margin or less. The Little Scotts played five warmup games before the league play got underway. They defeated Wlashington Union and Reedly L twice, and dropped one to a powerful East Bakersfield quintet.
