You can also see them in area parades such as the fair and Christmas parades. The marching Scots are in the process of purchas- ing new uniforms but they are hampered by the fact that they are getting very little support from the community and our fellow McLainites. After marching season had ended the marching band performs at its own area festival and surrounding feeder schools. The concert band is hoping to present its first spring concert in several years in April or May. Let's wish them success. The stage band travels to the surrounding feeder schools and they also receive engagements on college cam- puses. McLain's stage band can really be heard at its best on our yearly school talent show. They play all of the latest recordings by world famous groups such as the O'Iays, Earth, Wind, 8: Fire, Commo- dores, Ramsey Lewis and many, many more.
