In the remedial reading classes at McKinley, we increase our reading comprehension and improve our vocabulary skill. Most important, we realize that there are books that deal with our own problems, our own activities and our own world. There is never a dull moment in Spanish. Anything can happen. One day I was reviewing some vocabulary words at the last minute, when the teacher arrived. Her every step sounded like a countdowng I would have rather been orbiting in space than facing this test. My eyes felt as though they were glued to the page, but with much resolution I closed the book and hoped for the best. I looked upg but I didn't see our Spanish teacher. Instead, a French teacher was standing there asking us, Quel temps fait-il? No one knew the answer. Someone informed her that she was in the wrong room. However, she just asked the question again. She thought that we were either fooling or that we had forgotten the right verb.
