lb IORS QUALITY A ALYSlSs-fs-fe-fs.fs-f FRONT John Dougherty Treasurer Law rence Worley Secretary REAR Peter Jellinick Vice President Alfonso Nncolaro President OPHOMORES STAT FRONT Louis Calabrese President Charles Vat Vce Pres dent REAR Fred Clabo Treasure Ronald Ftscher Sec etary After serving a two year s apprenticeship at McKinley the Junior Class of l956 became a smoothly rolling ma chrne for the welfare of the whole school by contributing an outstanding number of students who have been octave in extra curricular activities The class is proud of our Vice President of the Student Council Frederick Tarantino who was chosen to represent our school for a visit to the United Nations in New York City Charles Strait Joseph Logan and Michael Schnell rnger were victorious on our championship cross country team David Florko Donald Galmbacher and Peter Jellln :ck were first stringers on our basketball team Don Boyack has been a very active Red Cross worker Many more mem bers of the Junior Class have been on the football team in the Chess Club the yearbook staff school paper Bowling Club and all other activities The Junsor Class has backed our skating parties and other Student Council activities wholeheartedly and will carry on its enthusiasm for the school s functions next year and beyond their school days When measured up to the selv s of good mettle The Sophomore Class of l956 has started off on the right foot this year and has lived up to its expectations of last year They have realized that high school is a place of work and play each in its proper place This year there was on average size Sophomore student body which elected a good group of class officers Encouraged by these lead ers they all have done their shore in school activities For example the Sophomores were most widely repre sented on the cross country team and the basketball team Some of the cross country team members were Tom Regan William Latchford Norman l-leppel and Frank Kowalski Tom Regan incidentally was chosen co captain of the team for next year These boys were honored on Sports Night when they were pres nted trophies The boys on the basketball team were George Roberson Charles Mendola and their excellent manager Ronald Fitscher Again the Sophomores proved that they had what it takes to be good In football there were John Burns Martin Grazladei and William lsaacs who represented our class in sports ln a general survey the Sophomores seem the most active boys in the school lf they keep this up they will be at graduation time one of the most outstanding gradua tion classes in the history of McKinley 30 Y 9 D I I I ' I r T - 1 I ' i ' I.
