Page Twenty-four Class Poem, lune, l936 We've been together four short years, We've shared our hopes, our lives, our fears. So often wrong, so seldom right, Yet always seeking for the light. We knew that we must sink or swim, And with this view we started in. When first, as Freshman lad or lass, We, trembling, feared to enter class, As Soph'mores we obeyed each rule, And brought much honor to our school. And then, as luniors, 'twas our aim To gain all glory, rank, and fame. But now, as Seniors, hand in hand, We take our last and final stand. Oh, if you others only knew How Senior classes envy youl For we must bid our school adieu, And now must start our life anew. In many walks our paths we'll take, And each a mark for his class will make. Let's give a toast as we leave today, Our debt of thanks to her to pay, ' Let's shout unto the very sky: Our dear old school, MCKINLEY HIGHV' -MARY IANE LONGENECKER

This class enjoys the distinction of being perfectly balanced: there are 101 boys and 101 girls in the class. Another unique feature is the fact that the class has had two sponsors.
