to Learn Lawrence Lau Treasurer the Community Relations Committee on Novem- ber 9, the English Committee fSpeech Festivall on Ianuary ll, the Guidance Committee on March 28, and the Forum Committee on April ll. All of these assemblies proved to be very worth- while to us. Various committee chairmen were Yvonne Yamada, Comrnunity Relationsg Gail Muranaka, Englishg Harris Hirata, Forumg Charlotte Ginoza, Guidanceg and Janice Okami, Library. They all did their duties well. CLASS DAY PROVES EVENTFUL The big event for us was our Class Day which was held on February 17. An original play writ- ten and produced by sophomores was presented to the whole school. On that day we wore our class colors and proudly presented our class gift. Art academy excursions were a part of our educational program. We also attended assem- blies to hear talks by Miss Irmgard Hormann of the Library of Hawaii on various good books of the world. As time waits for no one, Iune was soon upon us and happywere those who were promoted. So ended our first memorable year at McKinley, filled with fun and work.
