BASKETBALL HE HIGHLY SUCCESSFUL 1963 edition of the Mclfeesport High hoopsters captured the Section 6 crown and survived the first round of the WPIAL tournament at the University of Pittsburgh Field House. Coached by Cornelius Neenie Campbell and his assisant, Edmund Kittiko, the cagers compiled an over-all season record of 18 wins and 6 losses. Two of the defeats came at the hands of Aliquippa-first, in the season-opener and, again. in the quarter-final of the WPIAL tournament. The Tigers had an exhibition record of 7 wins and 3 losses and captured the Tiger Booster Club Holiday Tournament by defeating Har Brack and Ambridge. The Section 6 championship was decided in the last game as the Cats beat Duquesne for the second time. They also beat Elizabeth-Forward and Clairton twice while they split with Munhall and Homestead. In post-season action at the Pitt Field House, the Tigers defeated McKees Roclcs before bowing to Aliquippa to end the action-packed season. Seniors on the team were Garey Christian, Bill Allen, and co-captains Mike Graban and Ray Zajicelc. VARSITY-FIRST ROW: Tom Grace, Mike Feterik.
