The bad medicine stayed around for another week with Iohns- town pouring a bitter 26-6 brew for the visiting Tigers. Mclieesport recovered its balance and started a series of four impressive Wins by trouncing Duquesne, 21-6, and New Kensington, 20-6. The most sensational game was the ninth, played against AA title-contender Monesseng the Tigers stepped ahead with a quick touchdown, were tied in the sec- ond quarter, dropped behind l3-7 by the third, but came back with terrific team play in the final frame to score 19 points, netting a 26-13 victory. Coach Weigle left the field high on supporting shoulders as the goal post came down. For the finale the Tigers underlined their power with 55-19 picnic over Windber, making the highest scoring rec- ord for a Tiger team since 1947. MHS won all six of its home contests and led every opponent in the statistical depart- ments for first downs and net yards gained. Further honors came when Mclieesport was named along with New Kensington as the top team in the newly formed All-West Conference, and when Bruce Brinkos was chosen as a member of the All-State team, a laurel MHS has not won for 13 years. 1960 VARSITY SCHEDULE MCK Sept.
