Dr. Lawson is responsible to the Board of Direcf tors whose members are elected by the public of IVIcKeesport to serve terms of six years. By committee action and full board sessions, the Directors determine the policies which the dis- trict will follow. Dr. Leo R. Travis, secretary to the Board of Directors and Business Manager of the School District, is in charge of the business and financial affairs of the system. In addition to supervising the School Board office, he has the care of seven' teen school buildings throughout the city.
