MR val' HIQ S ,J f -K 1 To staff members YoughfAfMon class seems to be flooded continually with photographs, dummy layout sheets, sketches, writefups and captions, copy sheets, and pages of measurements. Typewriters, slide rules, pencils, and minds keep busy battling this tide in order to meet deadlines. But as the flood recedes and the annual takes form, the staffs satis' faction mounts. When the book goes to press, they are fully aware of how group cooperation can prof ducc a book of school memories. Typing is a major operation in YUUgh'A'MOI1 production At the right are two of the staff's six typists, Paulin Pollock and Catharine Hynclman. From the confusion of typical work sessions like this lbelowl comes the smooth organi- zation of pictures and write-ups. Left to right are Lois Pearson, Bruce Johnson, Dolores Kovacs, Janice Lures, Adviser Norman Gibson, Editor Gary Shaw, Linda Akers. Department Chairmen for the book included Catharine Hyndman-Faculty, Dolores Kovacs-Seniors, Betty Joan Davis-Secretarial, Pauline Pollock-Copy, Linda Akers-Organizations, Lois Pearson-Underclasses. The Tigers were swept from the WPIAL Class AA title race midway in the season at the hands of an inspired New Castle team by a 2OfO score. The lack of a capable passer finally caught up with Mc' Kecsport as they were unable to take to the air when the Hurricane big forward wall had stalled the ground attack. Strong opponents handed McKeesport their two other defeats: a rough and tumble game at Allen' town in which the Tigers dropped a 25-18 decision, Cauley, Ronald Corbin, Connie Kimbo, Thomas Turn- bull, Stephen Evanovich, Charles Heasley. The annual battle between McKeesport and Duquesne was strictly nofcontest as the largest crowd of the season saw the Tigers record a lopsided 52f6 triumph. Although the halfftime score was only 12fO, the Tigers tallied 28 points in the third period and another dozen in the fourth. The scoring honors of the season went to Robbie Seitz and Ducky Gilmore. Seitz, a senior, scored three touchdowns against Ambridge and two each against Aliquippa and Clairton. Gilmore, a junior, tallied three times against Jeannette and Johnstown and twice against Duquesne and Central Catholic. K . F? 1 l I if f 0 5 , TS Eg 63, xr- if Nl ' '...
