The Superintendent's Message To THE GRADUATES or 1939: The Board of Education, the administrative staff, teachers, and the superintendent of schools congratulate you on the successful completion of the requirements of graduation from high school. Some of you will continue your formal education, while others will seek immediate employment. If you have taken the College Preparatory curriculum, and you find it possible to continue your education in a higher institution of learning, it is hoped that by virtue of your training and perseverance your achievements will reflect credit on McKeesport High School. If you have taken the General Academic curriculum, and circumstances are not favorable for you to continue your formal education in the near future, it is hoped that opportunities to engage in useful and gainful employment will be available. The disposition to work and to do one's best are qualities not overlooked by em- ployers in business and in industry. While you are working, there will be oppor- tunities to attend evening classes in the various schools in the Pittsburgh area. If you have taken the Commercial or Industrial curriculum, you are prepared to render a specihc service. We hope that you will be successful in securing employment in the vocation of your special interest and training. Your success in business or in industry will be determined as much by your being loyal to the organization, being agreeable with your fellow workers and employers, being always dependable in every respect, as by your technical training. The school officials are interested in your success, and will assist you in any way possible in your search for employment. We wish every graduate of the class of 1939 success and happiness. JJ?
