Before we begin. XVe pause to pay tribute to a member of the faculty whose time, knowledge, and experience are unselfishly given to her chosen profession. She is a teacher who feels that her responsibility toward her students does not end when classes are dis- missed. Her regard for the welfare of young people has not been limited to those who are in school, she has extended a helping hand to many graduates as well. A firm be- lief in discipline and the ability to inspire students to study have made her an excellent teacher. A delightful sense of humor and a sympathetic understanding of teen-age problems have made her a valued friend of every student. Because she has instilled in us the faith and courage to go on and achieve our goals, we, the class of 1959, take this opportunity to express our gratitude to Miss Elizabeth I.
