Seniors — The Way We Were Remember When? As we look back on our 13 years of school together, we have many fond memories. They are funny, exciting, and sometimes sad. Even though some of the things that we've done seem very dumb, they are all a part of growing up. So now we look back at our lives, because soon we will outgrow high school, go off to school, and begin in an adult world. Kindergarten is where it all began. We learned to tie our shoes, and write our names, but we still had to take naps. We all got the chance to be the ' 'wake up fairy''. Remember the countless times our mothers told us, ' 'Don't talk to strangers, look both ways, and you behave . Then there was the Shrine Circus, our play in second grade where Linda had a hard time swatting Tim's nose off. Laura was afraid of flies, Teresa sprayed bees with Final Net, Ruth said she got freckles by standing in front of a screen door, Pam broke her ankle, king-on-the-hill fights, boy germ shots, Beth got her nickname of Cert, Barbie dolls, sandboxes, hiding in clothes hampers and cupboards, slumber parties, singing in the choir, playing instruments, the Sherri, Mari, and Terri, Shows, Sherri's David Cassidy t-shirt, painting our ecology can, and getting in trouble in sixth grade for writing notes. Six boys and 19 girls in sixth grade and suddenly we were done with grade school, and starting out on the bottom of the ladder in 7th grade. Remember the sinking feeling as we walked down the hallways, trying to at like we knew what we were doing, but trembling inside. We had to change classrooms in only 3 minutes, Pam fell down the stairs, we got to eat on the brown plates like the teachers did, and we won the Homecoming skit. We began getting involved in music, sports, and clubs — each year getting busier. Soon we were in 10th grade — halfway through our high school days. We now had our drivers' licenses, had a real fun fight with the juniors at Christmas, we began having our political arguments with Mr. Holen, and Renita explained the Bay of Pigs. Another year gone — only two left. The most successful magazine drive, class rings, Jr. Class Play, planning Prom, and playing '' Pomp and Circumstance'' for the last time. Now we are seniors, 42 strong, the core of the school, the leaders, realizing that everything we do will be for the last time — senior pictures, football, volleyball, fan biases, concerts, winning the Homecoming skit, basketball, ACT Tests, decisions to make on our future, carefree happy days, ordering graduation announcements, music contests — soon Prom, skip trip, and finally graduation. We will always cherish our school years but we must not dwell on them. The future lies before us and we will move on to new goals and dreams. Remember, the greatest distance we have yet to cover lies within ourselves! “It Is Not So Much What A Person Is Descended From, That Matters As What He Will Descent To!”
