Wilber and Dennis threatening to toss Earnest from the top of the building and Pernell and Terry making faces are typical examples. Then there's Mr. Huff! Each day he makes a serious attempt to remain cool, calm, and collected as he watches the realization of his dream come true. 4 i Z E 5 1 .mms Z rw ff i . 11.- M. We have seen new horizons And we'll look back on sorrow N sf? ' 12 ai We are always thinking about our lives after high school. But we must realize that there are still new 'ghighsl' to reach while we are here. The red leatherette cover which protects the diploma is a high,' we all hope to attain and yet this is only a dream until June 2. Meg reflects on the past, as Babe Ruth looks toward his future. Bill seems as though he is in deep thought about something very important but David is looking at the places he might go. 13 Let's make plans now for we are the building blocks of tomorrow - 14 , Q qu wzmwgi ,wana 'if:'l1.'3f'x Q? .5fy,,,w, ,s Q J. .,,, ' 3' - .ms EC-if-J 'Af M MJ' Ileelicatiuu lllllllllllllllllllllllllllll R E 1 lgwdjgllmlbijfp 2 l , Mg, 'Milf' E tr Qlftlwlf' Mr yqtill l l QV f 5 : lgfgfyfwwyf mlllllllllllllllllllllllllll A We, th members of the annual staff, feel the need to express our appreciation to one who has contributed much to the accomplishment of our goal, THE 1980 BUCCANEER. She has stuck with us though sometimes the going was rough. We want you to know that we are most grateful for your untiring efforts. To you, Ms. c'Mikki Mikkola, we proudly dedicate the 1980 BUCCANEER. For her sense of dedication to her students and her help in their discovery of new joys through creativity, we the members of the 1979-1980 annual staff dedicate the BUCCANEER to Ms. Bettye J. Ector. The task of creating such a work, as the 1980 BUCCANEER, has not been an easy one. We hope that we have inspired her to new actions, but knowing her one can easily guess her reaction. Therefore, with our love for you and our appreciation for your interest in us, your patience with us, and your time given to us .... We sincerely dedicate to you, Ms. Bettye Ector, our annual of 1980. This year we have formed a bond between us that refuses to bow to racial dissention. Hopefully this bond will not be limited to the annual staff but will, instead, spread like 'lwild fire throughout McIntosh County Academy. Julie Miller and B. J. Ector head the list of the many people who deserve thanks. Julie has devoted much time and untiring effort in her position as a full time photographer. Ms. Ector's level head and remarkable strength held us together through many crisis. Their combined patience was vital to our success. The entire annual staff deserves special recognition for their dedication and extreme hard work. The faculty and student body deserve thanks for their understanding and support. I hope this attitude continues in the years to come. The annual has definitely been a challenge to everyone butfWE HAVE TRIUMPHED!
