YT 1 ADMINISTRA TION FACULTYAND STAFF TUDEN TS AND TEACHER OF MCINTO H ACADEMY: As we approach the end of another school year, let us pause and look back at our accomplishments and, yes, failures for this school term. Congratulations are in order to the Annual Staff for another outstanding yearbook. Your efforts have been untiring in your attempt to make thisthe best possible edition. This year has seen new courses at MCA: the Journal- ism Class aud the ECHO, the Dramatics Class, and the Cre- ative Writing Class. The art program has contributed to the attractiveness of the whole school as well as7benefited the individual students. We do have areas where improvement is needed: the Student Council should become more active and influential, clubs should take a look at themselves and examine their goals and pur- poses, and teachers and stu- dents should inspect their ideas about the real meaning of education. We have made great prog- ress, but the search for knowl- edge is a neverending one, and we cannot afford to become complacent. Now is the time to begin working for a better school. Ralph G. Throughout these past S 7 many changes and expe- if riences. We have learned from our mis- takes and failures. We have begun to grow as '51, W .Z'qf11 afas 'roo -, years we have undergone gr uyyyyr ,r.., y,ry , , ww, i my M V . .V - individuals. The year is now no more than memories. Our freshman year was one of bewilderment and insecurity. We learned to face new prob- lems and to form our own ideas, principles, and directions in life. We joined clubs and athletics and began to have a voice in school activities. It was a beginning, but we still remember how we felt whenever we came in contact with the aloof and superior seniors. Autumn of 197 3 brought us together as sophomores. Our confidence had begun to develop. Roots of friendship were growing deeper. We participated more in athletics, clubs, dances, etc. There is reflection over tears about going steady, breaking up, and friendship rings. We cannot forget the seemingly endless waiting in the lunch line and the spirit of aggression in the line. Summer passed too quickly and the junior year arrived. We felt a surge of confidence. We ordered class rings for that special year and got our driver's licenses which enabled us to cruise the town. We had a school prom again and now that the year closes, we realize that we are turning into seniors faster than we had anticipated. At last we have reached the pinnacleg we are seniors. Scholastics take on a deeper mean- ing to some of us. For the first time we are really aware of the problems in society that one day we must solve. We are living in a time of sunshine and shadows. We have felt the anguish of disharmony in division over the prom. We have had the pride of producing a suc- cessful school newspaper. We have had a taste of honey in senior privileges. Invitations were ordered and senior pictures were made. Term papers gave us headaches and there was practice, practice, practice, for our very special exercises. June 4, 1976, marked the day of Commencement for the largest graduating class in the history of McIntosh County Acad- emy. God bless you everyone and may your dreams of the future find fulfillment. May your reflections of the past four years have a happy place in your hearts as we step forward to take another new beginning from this day. -,ar WE SHALL NEVER PASS THIS WA YAGAIN L SQQQSQDIK lla!
