SEVENTY-THREE BUCCANEER McIntosh County Academy Darien, Georgia TOMMY DRAFFIN, Editor CHARLIE WILLIAMSON, SCHOOL PHOTOGRAPHER MRS. SHIRLEY GALE, ADVISOR TO THE READERS OF THE '73 BUCCANEER; As you enjoy this yearbook, you will see the results of hundreds of hours of work by countless people. The annual staff has tried to put together the best representation possible of the 1972-73 school year. To make this book possible, it took the combined efforts of too many people to thank each one individually. The personi am most grateful to is Mrs. Gale for her work as advisor, without which the yearbook would have been impossible. I also wish to thank all of the people who bought advertising space; the administration of the school; the faculty; Mr. Jack Orman, the Olan Mills representative; Studio West; the subscribers; and anyone else who had even a small part in the success of this effort. It has been a pleasure being the editor for 1973 in spite of all the hard work, anxiety, and frustration. A wonderful feeling of satisfaction comes when one sees the finished product take shape before one's eyes. 1 beg those of you who will remain here at M .C .A . to become more interested and involved in your school. The year- book is yours and if more people do not show interest in it, then this may be the last edition. It is up to each and every one of you. I hope that you will enjoy the book as much as the staff and I have enjoyed mak- ing it for you. Sincerely, trrnsrru - Editor 1 3 5 6 7 8 In Memoriam ADMINISTRATION Tenderly now let all men turn to the earth Nancy Newhall MR. CHATHAM JONES MR.
