Maxwell, R. Nelson, R. Annis, R. Pinarrl, W. Pecor, N. Lang. JUNIOR CLASS NEWS Hi Everybody! This year we started by electing new officers at our first class meeting held September 10, 1954. The following officers were elected: President. Edith Hammond: Vice-President, john Crown: Secretary, Norene Blakeg and Treas- urer, Ann Pollard. Student Council members are: Ruth Griffin and Alton Maxwell. We held a junior Hop in the Academy Hall in October and cleared 318.15 John Gilmour was our outstanding magazine salesman again this year. We held a food sale january ZO, 1955 at Moore's General Store in Monroe and cleared 252295. A lot of the members in our class and in some of the other classes are still corresponding with our former classmate, Arthur Royal who now lives at 159-30 Harlem River Drive, New York 39, New York. We all voted to buy our graduation pictures from Morris Studios in Colebrook. New Hampshire. We are looking forward to seeing ou all affain next ear when we are Seniors. Pollard, J. Conant, R. Wright, C. Little, K. Beck, K. Beck, W. Irwin, M. Paye, L, Paradie. SOPHOMORE CLASS NEWS The sophomore class held their nrst meeting September 10, 1954. The following officers were elected: President, Brenda Emeryg Vice-President, Jeanie Hunt: Secre- tary, Carlene Dunng and Treasurer, Christine Theroux. Members of the Student Council are: Judy Conant and Robert Wright. We put on a reception in the Academy Hall for the Freshmen on September 16. Chet Howard played for us. Because Judy Conant broke her hip in a skiing accident and was unable to attend school, Jeanie Hunt was elected to take her place as a Student Council Member. We took part in the one-act play contest on March 23. The name of the play was Glamorous Gloria. On March 31, we held a dance at Monroe Town Hall with music by Chet Howard. We had two girls on the First team for girls' basketball and one boy on the boys' team. Six other members played. John Paye transferred from Groton, but left at Christmas time.
