We started off with twenty-two students in our classg two left, and we gained one, so now we have twenty-one. On October 1, 1953, the sophomores initiated us and gave a reception in our honor that night. We participated in the magazine drive and came out third. We have had only three class meetings so far. On December 22, 1953, we held a Christmas program for our parents and friends. It consisted of two plays, a movie, trumpet selections and a piano duet. Afterwards we had a record hop. Financially, it wasn't much of a success, but otherwise it wasg and it was fun! JUDY CONANT, Secretary

Wi E 2 5 i yi 3 .1 , 5- MCIA CHEERLEADERS Six cheerleaders were chosen this year by the faculty. They were Cleft to right! judy Conant, Freshmang Patricia Fenn, Seniorg Beverly Hadley, juniorg Dorothy Dube, Seniorg Camille Sicard, Sophomoreg and Dora Dargie, junior. Christine Theroux was our substitute cheerleader. At the beginning of the year it was voted by the school that the present cheer- leaders would be in until the end of their Senior year. Substitutes of the past year would replace the retired cheerleaders. During the year we put on a dance to raise money in order to pay back the money borrowed from the classes last year. We also had a food sale so we would be able to have a cheerleading fund. I have certainly enjoyed cheerleading with the squad this year. They have been most helpful, co-operative, and peppy.
