The Junior Class had their first class meeting September 15, 1953. They voted for the followingofficers: Patricia Bradshaw, Presidentg Mary DeRusha, Vice-Presidentg Phyllis Paradie, Secretaryg and Maxine Emery, Treasurer. Beverly Hadley and Philip Blanchard were voted as our Student Council members. We had a junior Hop on October 22, 1953, which was a big success. We hope to have more activities after basketball season closes. This year we lost two members from our class, Sandra Brooks and Meredith Newell, but we also gained a member, Barbara Dickinson. ROBERT WRIGHT-Keep up the good work in basketballg they may need you next year. AUDREY DERUSHA-You're a nice kid, Audrey, don't change. WILLIAM IRWIN-Senior Room is for the Seniors, not you. NEIL POLLARD-Be careful of the girls' hearts. They aren't made of steel. CLIFTON LITTLE-Leave the girls alone for awhile. BRENDA EMERY-Keep it up and your personality will take you a long way. MURIEL HUNT-You're a sweet kid, Jeanie. Keep it up. CHRISTINE THEROUX-Keep some opinions to yourself. MARILYN PAYE-Try your own classmates for awhile. LINDA HUFNAGEL--Keep up the good marks. FUTURE ADVICE FOR THE SENIORS PATRICIA FENN-Which guy is it going to be? GAYLE LANG-What is coming first, college or marriage? CARROLL CHOATE-Hang on to your love notes, Stub, there may be something important in them. CAROLYN CHOATE-Lisbon is quite an interesting town, isn't it? PATRICIA LITTLE-Don't let go of that personality. SHIRLEY BOWEN-Keep it up, Shirley, we have heard more from you this year. JUSTINE BROOKS-Don't change, Justine. We like you just the way you are. RICHARD HATLEY-The Happy Hour is a nice place to eat, isn't it? ALFRED NELSON-We know you will be a brilliant scientist someday. WILLIAM NELSON-Thanks a lot for helping us out in the kitchen, Bill. KENNETH DERUSHA-We are going to miss you next year, Buddy. IRENE MACDONALD-If you get as good marks in college as you do in high school, you will go places. IRENE GOSS-Watch the noon hour stuffg it can turn out to be a lifetime. RAMONA DICKINSON-Do you really go for cemeteries? JEROLYN NEWELL-Stick to that one man. DOROTHY DUBE-Better look up some material on farming, Dotty. JOAN WHITE-We are going to miss you in basketball. - THE TEACHERS-We wish to thank each and everyone of you for being so patient with us. We want to wish you all the best of luck and happiness in the future. MR. KIERSTEAD-That muffler on your car gives us a good warning. MR. POWELL-Thanks for helping us with the Spitfire. Mtzxwell, R. Annir, Mr. Powell, R. Nelron, J. Gilmour, W. Pecor, J. Crown. Hi everyone! Here we are again. Another year of learning and fun. We sophomores held our first class meeting on September 14, 1953 and elected the following officers: Edith Hammond, president, Arthur Royal, vice-president, Donna Goss, treasurerg Camille Sicard, secretary, student council, Norene Blake and john Gilmour. Class advisor, Mr. Powell. We initiated the freshmen on October 1, 1953. We entertained them at a reception in the evening with music furnished by Chet Howard. In the magazine drive Gail Bedell was our general manager. Our class led the school in sales, with john Gilmour as top salesman. This year Camille Sicard and Maurice Slayton par- ticipated in the school spelling contest. Johnnie Crown participated in the prize speak- ing contest at Wells River and won third prize. We have two new students in our class this year, Alton Maxwell and Arthur. Royal. Buddy Bedell transferred to Woods- ville this year, We'll see you next year. CAMILLB SICARD, Secretary
