x X E e or McIA Cheerleaders The cheerleaders were chosen by the Student Council the same as they have been the previous years. A certain number of points were given for voice, poise, and motions. There were approximately fifteen 151 girls that tried out for it. There were four of last year's cheer- I leaders that were chosen again this year, with the exception of two new ? ones. The following were chosen: Cleft to right? Joan Crown, Seniorg Q Camille Sicard, Freshmang Sandra Brooks, Sophomoreg Carol Sheltra, Seniorg Dotty Dube, Juniorg and Bev. Hadley, Sophomore. At our first meeting we chose the captain and I was chosen. We also decided that we wanted different suits. We chose a suit that is similar N to a skating outfit. 2 We had a dance to raise money for the suits. The classes also con- 4 tributed some money because we did not have time to raise anymore beforeer basketball season. We are planning to pay them back. L We hired Mrs. Moore to make them. Q On behalf of the squad I wish to thank Mrs. Moore, the classes and 1 teachers for helping us during basketball season. X I have enjoyed cheering with the cheerleaders and I want to thank d them for their co-operation. V I wish the cheerleaders the best of luck next year.
