Boys samifball O '- Our team met with varied success during the season compiling a 13 and 9 PeC0Pd in H Schedual of 20 regular and 2 round robin games In Hilldale League competition we finished fourth behind Danville, Concord and Trade with 9 wins and S defeats. Outside the League, we posted victories over Lishon Twice and Orleans once. We split our two round robin games defeating Newbury at Monroe and losing to Bethlehem at woodsville. Highlighting our season were two victories over Trade and Lishon and single victories over Concord, Orleans, and keacham. 'The outstanding game from our viewpoint was the victory at the end of the season over Concord at Concord while the best game from the basketball viewpoint was our victory over Trade at St. Johnsbury. Ron Crowe led all scorers with 255 points edging out Huck Aiken by one point. These two both return next year to resume their out- standing careers. Ken Emery had the highest game average, 17.3 in lh contests. Russ Moore, Gil Theroux, John Pratt and Phil Blanchard all did excellent jobs. Russ Moore, playing his second year was Il5h highest scorer and shows great promise in the next two years. Gil Theroux was the Sth highest scorer and did excellent rebound work on the defensive backboard. Gil and Russ also kept the opposition off balance with their deadly outside set shots. Huck Aiken had the highest foul shooting percentage, 59 out of 99 for a 6035 mark. Gil Theroux and Ken Emery are graduating starters while Earry Story and John Pratt in particular who did excellent relief work also graduate.
