L 3.'3.'4.'L'4.'C.4:4.:44433423.24 SENIOR CLASS HISTORY On September 3, l9h8, fifteen trembling freshmen entered the impressive portals of Mclndoes Academy. Our class, the largest in the school, included Glenna Winches- ter of East Barnet: Louise Brown, Karolyn Rutledge, Allan Gilmour of Barnet: Catherine Gibson, Lee Sheppard, Lena Sheppard, Valorie Sicard, and Gilbert Theroux of Mclndoe Falls, Kathleen Blanchard, Joanne Dickinson, Kenneth Emery, Glendon Hill, John Pratt and Barry Story of Monroe. Two weeks after school began, we held our first class meeting. The following officers were elected: Pres1dent......... .... ...... ........ Gilbert Theroux Vice President... ...Kathleen Blanchard Secretary ................. ....... Lena Sheppard Treasurer. ............................ Allan Gilmour Member of Student Council..........Karolyn Rutledge when basketball started, most of us went out for it. Kathleen and Louise made Varsity. Louise was also given the honor of being one of our cheerleaders. On April 7 and 8 we presented a one-act comedy drama, entitled nWhodunit?n Our play was chosen to be given in wells River to re- present the school in the Hilldale League One-Act Play Contest, which was held April 28 and 29. when the Class of '52 reentered Mclndoes Academy they found they had two new comers among them -- Loucille Schilling and Leon McCulloch. A few days later the first class meeting was held. At this meeting the following officers were elected: President Kenneth Emery Vice President Kathleen Blanchard Secretary Karolyn Rutledge Treasurer Gilbert Theroux Student Council Loucille Schilling On Halloween we gave a party for the Grammar School children and later in the evening, one for the High School students.
