PIGSKIN REVIEW This year witnessed a one-team race with Barrington taking the conference honors. But the rest of the league was well balanced and the standings changed every week. The '56 Vllarriors turned in a successful season with four victories and three losses in conference play while finishing in third place behind Barrington and Zion Benton. The Warriors won their first game by beating Woodstock. 2-0. Then after losing the next three games. they came back strong by beating Warren 20-0. Lake Forest 26-T and ending the season with a beautiful exhibition of defensive play in defeating Libertyville T-0. The All-Conference Team for 1956 was chosen by the Northern lllinois Newspapers. McHenry placed high in the honors by having three on the first team and two on the second team. Halfback Phil Schneider, Center Chuck Olson and Tackle Wally Schimke were chosen on the first team and Tackle Mark Zimmerman and Guard Tom Nic-Mahon were chosen for the second team. Next yearis team, with the Juniors having a year of experience and the strong up-coming Sopho- mores, should finish high again in the North Suburban Conference.
