THE REFLECTOR 19 Z S Prophecy of the Class of l9Z8 tScene -- The home of the actors in Chicagog in 19305 Newsboy yells outside door Extra! Extra! Three local men return from a trip around the world. CARVEI. fcomes breezing inj HeIlo! just bought a paper and here's what is says: freadsj Wolf Handschin, Harry Wadleigh, and Allen Funk- houser have just returned from a trip around the world in which they mastered the profanity of nine languages. They also sampled the drinks of nineteen countries. DOROTH Y Ll:'DWl:'LL - Well some others from that class develop- ed the Wanderlust too. Lucinda Hadsel is in Spain teaching French to the Irish located there. Do you remember the time she read Les Miserables to us one day in Hrst year French? BEA TRICE BUCHANAN - HI remember when she read that but I was too dumb to understand very much of it. Let's have some music. Sta- tion McG has a rather good program tonight. fShe turns on the radioj RADIO - Station McG, Oxford, Ohio, broadcasting. The next thing on the program will be -lack Burke's orchestra from the Blue Room of Castle Farm. We are very fortunate in having this orchestra with us this week. They have just returned from a European Tour. CStaticj DOROTHY - Turn that off! There's too much static treads from radio programj Genevieve Morris is reading some of her best recipes to- night. It's funny she should have turned out to be such a strong advocator of home-making. She never seemed to care for it when she was in McGuf- fey. She didn't even take home economics. CARVEL - Everyone of the class of '28 is achieving lame. Hazel Sandridge is touring Europe giving speeches for the President T or at least that's what Kendle said. BEA TRICE - USpeaking of old acquaintances, I was talking to Mary Anderson today. Did you know she left Miami to elope with a pro- spective farmer lad when she was a Freshman? Well, she did! They're living on a farm out near Mixerville. I guess Mary is as well known now for her time Plymouth chickens and scientinc house-keeping, as she was a few years ago for her acting on the McGulfey stage. DOROTHY - Well good for Mary! With her notoriety and Lee Himelick's famous Anti-Kink, Oxford's being put on the map. Is there any- thing on the radio? QCarveI turns it onj RADIO - 'fStation MCG broadcasting. Miss Rosemary DuVaII is on the air now. She will speak to you on the subject, What did the Hemis- sphere?. Tomorrow night at this time the Reverend Irene French will give a sermon on 'Why did Moses have lights that went outP' This debate delves deeper into darkness than any study since her oration on 'What makes the black night black?' Fred Schuster will accompanv her on his new ipouyth-organ. I take great pleasure in introducing to you in fthe voice cies Continued on pages Sixteen and Forty-Hvej ll5I
