PHYSICAL FITNESS Our gym class activities run by groups in the different seasons of the year. ln the fall. when we first come back to school. we play football, soccer and many other active outside sports. With the first snowfall the basketball season starts. Under the direction of Coach Potter we learn the fundamentals of basketball and volleyball. As spring starts to appear the basketballs disap- pear and we start doing stunts and per- forming on the flying rings. We end our year of physical education by partic- ipating in baseball games and track events. First row, left to right: Ray Allen. Robert Nowalk. John Loupe. Robert Card, Gene Nowalk. When school starts in the fall we play hockey and soccer. lnside in the winter it's tumbling, flying rings and dancing. Finishing the school year in the Spring we are outside trying our hand at field softball, track and archery. Physical Education is a welcome break in the dayis schedule.

Gene Connelly. For the first time the Driver Training Class was started this year with Mr. Hubbard as instructor. The course lasts for twenty weeks after which each student, who completed the course, will receive a bluff, card. This card enables the driver, before he is eighteen, to obtain his senior operatorls li- cense if he passes a driver's test. The students who have finished this course. feel that they will make much better drivers than those who have not taken the driver training course.
