They were as follows: President-Nancy Burdick Vice President-Frank Lakeman Secretary-June Belnao Treasurer-Dorothy Bentall Student Council-Raymond Bingham Early in the year the class sold oenclls on which was nrlnted the basket- ball schedule. Then we began selling hot dcg9,p0p and ootato china after the basketball and baseball games. These enterorlses proved nromlsing, due to the splendid coooeration of the classes, and before the year is over we hone to have over S200 in our treasury. . A ' The first activity of the class of 1949 was the election of officers. Those chosen were: President, Robert Strack Vice President, Shirley Lont Secretary, Marilyn Phelps Treasurer, Warren Underwood Student Council Representative, Virginia Owen Faculty Advisor, Mr. Howe. We raised money in the following ways: Before Christmas we sold greeting cards, Christmas cards and notes. For our second money hunt, we took up the sale of magazine subscrip- tions. The highlight of our year was the Junior Prom. Having completed a successful junior year, we're looking forward to a great senior year. ' 316

Frieda Loomis Joined the class shortly after the opening of the first term., The , boys of the Freshman Class have made a good start in the.athlet1c fields Paul Wothe, Douglas Fuller, Jack Norton, Philin Niver, and James Belnao reoresent the class on the teams, The entire eleven gjflglhave Joined Leaders Cluojand Barbara Gwen is the Freshman renresentative on the cheerleading suuad, We hone to be one of the most aeitve classes to graduate from the-MCGFQW High School.
