A ' The first activity of the class of 1949 was the election of officers. Those chosen were: President, Robert Strack Vice President, Shirley Lont Secretary, Marilyn Phelps Treasurer, Warren Underwood Student Council Representative, Virginia Owen Faculty Advisor, Mr. Howe. We raised money in the following ways: Before Christmas we sold greeting cards, Christmas cards and notes. For our second money hunt, we took up the sale of magazine subscrip- tions. The highlight of our year was the Junior Prom. Having completed a successful junior year, we're looking forward to a great senior year. ' 316
