The McGavock High School Chorus The McGavock High School Chorus is one of the most active groups in the school. One hundred fifteen voice group meets daily to rehearse and learn the fundamentals of proper singing. Director Robert Binkley chose Gabrielli’s ‘“‘Jubilate Deo” to perform with traditional carols for the Christmas concert. During the second semester “‘Requiem”’ by Mozart was planned for the major part of the spring concert. Also planned were several spirituals, one of which was arranged by McGavock’s Mrs. Bobby Jean Frost. The chorus was honored by an invitation to perform at the Mother’s Day celebration on the lawn of Governor Dunn’s home. Here they performed several patriotic numbers with the Nashville Youth Symphony, conducted by Mr. Max Bragado-Darman.
