Rod and Gun Club The McGavock rifle team consisted of seven students this year: seniors, David Foster and Steve Moore; juniors, Dwain Stanton, Mike Dunn, and Ed Durham. These student shot in six matches this year, five of the six being held on Saturdays at Vanderbilt University’s rifle range. The sixth match was the Blue Raider Invitational held in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Teams from Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, and Mississippi competed here. The McGavock team placed tenth out of twenty- two teams. The McGavock Team also practiced at Vander- bilt which was arranged by the sponsor, Mr. John Ter- rell. The competition came from seven Nashville schools during the regular season. The rifle team should be com- mended for its fine season.
