Oh, often ’tis true, Highlanders think of you, And the memories that we found at McEwen. Zhe 1964-65 In our heart’s a pride that will always abide As we sing to our Alma Mater. But wae is our hearts until we meet again In the bonnie, bonnie halls of McEwen. Bagpipes Scotty Mac Oar little mascot, Scotty Mac, first came to McEwen in 1953. She pre- sided at games and pep rallies, showing herself as a pest and comedian. Scotty Mac retired in 1958, but she again officiated at the pep rally which sent our 1963 basketball team to state. Scotty Mac is the spirit of McEwen. She speaks out in Scotty Says and appears on most of our annual covers. Scotty Mac has been the driving force of McEwen's sportsmanship. In memory of Scotty Mac, the lasting symbol of our school, we dedicate the 1964-65 Bagpipes. 2 mmm ADMINISTRATION Jerry Keller PRESIDENT Don Whitney VICE PRESIDENT 4 Student Council Front row - Mark Perkins, Joan Gibson, Jerry Keller, Don Whitney, Dick McMillan.
