In 1962 Mr. Frances Sampson presented to the school its Coat of Arms. The Coat of Arms has a light green background. There is a grey ribbon with the school name written on it in large red letters at the bottom. In the middle there is a shield containing the old and new high school yearbook symbols and the school colors. In the very center of the shield there is a symbol picturing each of the sports McEwen participates in. Above the shield there is a football helmet. The helmet is covered with a helmet cloth of the school colors. On top of the helmet sits a scotty dog representing the school mascot. The scotty is crowned with a king’s crown.
