qiURteRBACk ClUB LEFT TO RIGHT: Fred Pinkerton, C. H. Simpson, Velton Read, Wilbur Harden, Ray Blaylock, Lowell Garretson, Stafford Hansell, and Maurice Johns. The Quarterback Clubs’ main objective is to help in school athletics, both in grade school and high school, and in school activities. The Club is composed of men in the area who wish to partici- pate in helping the schools whenever and wherever possible. Some of their activities have included improving the school as in evidence by McEwen’s front walk, the curb around the school building, and our athletic field. One of their projects this year is a new concrete and iron backstop and baseball dugout. During the past few summers, the Club has organized a recreational program consisting of Little League Baseball in the morning and swimming in the afternoon. They also helped in selling season swimming tickets in order that the pool could support itself. Although they are not doing as much as they would like to do this year, they have been a con- siderable help. We owe a lot to the Quarterback Club and we hope that they will continue their fine work.
