SENIOR CLASS WILL We, the class of '50, being of large and great talent (after four years of high school) and being the first and greatest class to ever graduate from dear McEwen High, leave these thoughts as our final will and testament: TO THE CLASSES We, the Senior Class of 50 , leave to McEwen High our great example to be followed, and a huge list of accomplishments which we guarantee no class will be able to live up to in the future. We leave the Junior Class the ability to become Seniors after three long years of work. To the Sophomore Class we just L-E-A-V-E. We leave to the Freshman Class our ability to get along with the teachers and to receive honor roll grades as we did. TO THE FACULTY We leave to Mr. Simpson a pair of sponge rubber caps for his teeth so he won't chew his fingernails down to the elbow, and a big turkish towel to wipe the sweat off his brow during the close, exciting games our basketball boys play. To Mrs. Butterfield we leave a jet propelled heliocopter so she may com- mute between Athena and wherever Glenn is going to school. We, the Senior students of the Chemestry class, will the pleasent odor of the chemestry room (H-2-S) to Mr. Potter, who will appreciate it. We leave to Mrs. Simpson a set of our class original recipes to sell to the war department for unpredictable explosives. We leave to Mr. Keezel, for his dog, a package of McEwen Chomp Chomp dog food which will give him added sparkle in his bright eyes. We leave to Mr. Hardin some lumber to build a little garage outside of school so he won't have to leave his car in the shop. We leave Mr. Diehl a two foot section of lead pipe to use as a baton, since the ones he had this year couldn't take the punishment. We leave to Ray Blalock a new push broom with a built in Television set and snack bar so he can enjoy himself while he is at work. TO THE STUDENTS I, Connie Harris, will my good disposition to Charlene Wyatt and my ability to get ones without studying to Jimmy Rice. I, Arthur Teague, will my ability to get cheerleaders from out of town for girl friends to Jack Pittman who already has a good start; also my ability to ignore every thing that goes on in Social Economics and still get 1 's to Hamlin Christenson. I, Gibbie Morrison, will my ability to play the trumpet to Glenda Harris. I, Carroll Cannon, hereby will my ability to get a man and loose him to Jo Ann Huffman who already has a good start. I also will my ability to lose thinas and then find them to Sylvia Harden. I, Dick Wallingford, will my parking place in Weston to anyone that wants it. I have a new one. I, Lyle Hinkins, will my ability to have more than one girl in other towns to Jimmy Rice. I, Merle Mathwick, will my big feet to Paul Moore, Jr., who has a real good start at having size 14 or over. I, Beverly Tucker, will my secret to get along with Mr. Diehl to Lois Jean

JUNIOR CLASS Left to Right—Front Row: Betty Swaggart, Marlyn Davis, Rosalie Bissonnett Carleen Buchel, Jeanne Haigwood, Lois Fuson. Back Row: Fay Haverland, Hamlin Christensen, Royce Bunch, Earl Burns, Jack Greenlee, Jack Pittman, Kenneth Williams, Mrs. Butterfield, Advisor. CLASS HISTORY At the beginning of the school year the Junior Class consisted of thirteen members. Not long afterward, Rosalie Bissonnett left, so we were leh with twelve members. We elected our class officers at the beginning of the year. The officers elected are as follows: Hamlin Christenson, President; Royce Bunch vice- president; Lois Fuson, secretary and treasurer; Jeanne Haigwood, class re- porter. The Sadie Hawkins dance was sponsoed by the Juniors. We had a good turnout and everyone seemed to have a good time in their Dogpatch costumes. For extra entertainment, we put on a Radio Amateur Hour. The Junior Class sponsored and presented a play to cover expenses for the Prom. Last, but not least, was the traditional Junior-Senior Prom. This was the first Prom at McEwen High and everyone enjoyed the affair. Mrs. Agnes Butterfield has been our class advisor.
