Coach Mary Allison claims that she had a wealth of talent to work with this season. The first edition of the Titanettes featured good height, quickness, ball handling ability, aggressiveness, and teamwork. Putting it all together, the girls were one of the top teams in the area and were nearly unbeat- able in conference play. The Titanettes should be very strong again next year with some returning letter winners and a year of teamwork as a new unit in the Northwest Conference. Grapplers Build for Future Coach Brackett Probably the strongest point made about the varsity wrestling squad is its strength of underclassmen in building for the future. Although three fine wrestlers, David Womick, Jerry Norton, and Gary Bass are lost through graduation, most of the squad will be back to form a strong Titan squad. Three young men expected to lead the team next season are 128 Ib. Vaughn Freshour, 134 lb. Ricky Clayton, and 147 lb. Frankie Smith.
