FACULTY s CHARLES F. KUKUK Mr. Charles Kukuk started teaching at McDonald High School in 1934. He received his B.S, in Education from Thiel College in 1933, ln 1943 he began a 29-month period ot service with the U.S. Armed Forces. He returned to Mc- Donald High in 1946 and now teaches biology, general science, and photo- graphy. ln addition to his teaching responsibilities, Mr. Kukuk serves as school treasurer and advisor to the Roller Staff. He received his M.S. in Education from Westminster College in 1952 and is a graduate of Now York lnstitute ot Photography. MARILYN 1 OHNSTON Mrs. Marilyn Iohnston, assistant com- mercial instructor, came to McDonald High School in September 1953. Mrs. Iohnston received her B.B.A. degree from Westminster College in Iune 1953. She teaches geography, commercial law, commercial math, bookkeeping, office practice, and practical English. LOVINA E. NEWLUN Miss Lovina Newlun has been head of the Commercial Department at Mc- Donald High School since 1927. Miss Newlun received her B.S. in Education from Ohio State University in 1921. She earned her B.S. in Commercial Science and obtained her degree from the Office Training School, Columbus, Ohio, in 1929. Miss Newlun received her M.A. degree in 1937, from Ohio State University, where she was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma and Delta Pi Epsilon sororities. CONSTANCE MARION Miss Constance Marion has been with McDonald High School since September 1950. Miss Marion received her B.S. degree in Education from Kent State University in September, 1950. She served as a WAC from 1943-1945. Miss Marion is Faculty Manager of Athe letics, Advisor to the Girls' Athletic Association, Secretary of the School Athletic Association, and Girls' Physi- cal Education lnstructor. She also teaches health and Ir. High science. 1 mips '7 wp- S IULIE KARAVARA Miss lulie Karavara came to McDonald High School in the fall of 1952. She received her B.M, in Education from Youngstown College in Iune 1952. Miss Karavara teaches Ir. High English and spelling and Vocal Music. She organ- ized a Boys' Cilee Club in 1953. ETHEL PIERSON Mrs. Ethel Pierson has been head lie brarxan and French and Latin instruc- tor at McDonald High School since 1949. She has attended Oberlin Col- lege, Columbia University and Kent State University. Mrs, Pierson received her B.A. degree from Ohio State Uni- versity, Where she was a member of Beta Kappa Theta Sorority.

FACULTY GLEN C. DAVIS Mr. Glen Cowan Davis has been with McDonald High School since 1928, Mr. Davis received his A.B. Degree from Hiram College in 1923. His M,A. work was completed at Kent State University in 1939. English, grammar, literature and public speaking fill his school day. HERBERT H. HADLEY Mr. Herbert Hadley received his A.B. from Hiram College in 1925. While working on his M.A. degree he attend- ed summer school at Kent State Univer- sity, University oi Michigan, and Ohio State University. He received his M.A. in Education from the University oi Pittsburgh in 1935. Mr. Hadley teaches the higher mathematics, physics, and chemistry. ANDREW I. GOLUBIC This marks the eleventh year at coach- ing lor Coach Golubic, who came to McDonald High School from Girard in 1945. Mr. Golubic received his B.S. de- gree in Education from Geneva College in 1938. He attended summer sessions at Ohio State University and Kent State University while working on his M.S. degree, which he received in 1952 from Westminster College. As well as being football, basketball, and track coach, Mr. Golubic teaches Boys' phy- sical education ond Senior health edu- cation, math, and history. This year Mr. Golubic served as Senior Class advisor. GRANT DONALDSON Mr, Grant Donaldson has been teach- ing social science and Ir. High math at McDonald High School since 1930. He received his A.B. degree at Hiram in 1922 and his M.A. degree from Ohio State University in 1930. PAGE E- IOHN D. SAG ANICH Assistant Coach Iohn Saganich came to McDonald High in September, 1953. He received his B.S. degree from Ohio University in 1949. Mr. Saganich re- ceived his M.S. degree in Education from Westminster College in 1952. He attended summer sessions at Youngs- town College and Kent State Univer- sity. Mr. Saganich teaches history and civics, in addition to his coaching re- sponsibilities. This year Mr. Saganich served as Senior Class advisor. KENNETH F. BAKER Mr. Kenneth F. Baker, Industrial Arts Instructor, came to McDonald High School in 1951. Mr, Baker served with the U.S. Army from 1941 to 1945. He received his B.S. degree from Ohio University in 1950 and received his M.S. degree a year later.

FACU LTY WILMA MEEK Mrs. Wilma Meek received her B.S. degree in Home Economics from the University of Wisconsin in 1924, where she was a member of Phi Upsilon Omi- cron Sorority and the Professional Home Economics Sorority. Mrs. Meek is the Head of the Home Economics Department at McDonald High School. GLENN U. PHILLIPS Mr. Glenn U. Phillips has been with McDonald High School as head of the Music Department since 1938. Mr. Phil- lips is a graduate of Dana Music Institute, Warren, Ohio, and of Kent State University and Westminster Col- lege. He received his Bachelor of Music and Science in 1939 and his M.S. in Education in 1952. Mr. Phillips con- ducts the grade school orchestra as well as the high school band and or- chestra. ROBERT MCCLARY Mr. McC1ary came to McDonald in September of 1954 from Arlington High School. He received his B.S. in Educa- tion from Bowling Green University in 1948. He did graduate work at Dayton University and is now enrolled at the University of Akron. Mr. McClary is a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. At McDonald he teaches Drivers' Training, Social Science and is head basketball coach. PAGE B
