She has always accepted her responsibilities with graciousness and fulfilled her assignments with pro- fessional zeal and earnestness. Miss Sherman received her elementary training in Medina County, Ohio, and her high school training in Medina. She began her teaching by having charge of eight grades in a rural school in Chatham Township, Medina County, Ohio, where she taught for a period of four years. Following this, she taught for one year in Rittman, Ohio. For the past thirty-two years she has taught the second grade in the Roosevelt elementary school in Mc- Donald. We wish her the best of life's blessings in her well-earned retirement. May she always cherish the memories of the McDonald schools. PAGE 4

HOWARD MCGOWAN Superintendent Schools THE TEACHER'S IMPRINT Ohio's Sesquicentennial, to be observed during 1953, will hold great significance for all elements of the sicte's citizenry. For none, however, are the educational potentialities greater than for school teachers and our youth. Effective utilization of these possibilities will depend to ct large extent upon the interest and resourceful- ness of teachers. The personalities who have made the Buckeye State great can live again for the state-makers of the future. An appreciation of its brilliant history can inspire a devotion to further progress. A realization of the schools' distinctive contributions to industrial, commercial, and political strength can bring deep pride, and more important, can engender a consciousness of one's participation in the states. So, in deep humility, consider the responsibility that rests upon your shoulders, For long after most of the subject matter is forgotten, he will remember your integrity, your fairness, your tolerancee-in short, the character ct you, his teacher.
