VARSITY BALL At the sound of marching feet and the ap- pearance of the red and white uniformed honor guard, the 1959 Varsity Ball honoring all sports was under way. This year's ball, the last of its kind, was traditional in its red and white decorations, pretty girls, and regal queen. Fifteen girls in pastel ball gowns graced the queen's court along with the spirit of IVI.H.S., the Red Devil, who was Tommy Campbell, and Nan- cy Cameron carrying the crown, the symbol of royalty. The queen elect, Isabelle Robertson, was es- corted to the throne by honorary co-captain Regis Smith. Meade McKee, also elected honorary co- captain, crowned Isabelle, and for the rest of the evening she reigned as queen of lVI.I-I.S. The beautiful decorations, heavenly music, clicking of cameras, parents' approval and the mer- riment of the ball all combined to make it a mem- orable occasion.
