FOOTBALL SQUAD The McDonald Red Devils ended their I959 season. and the last one for lVlcDonaIcI High, with three wins. four losses and one tie. Mr. Garry was the head coach with Mr. Hepe as his assistant. The tie was a 0-0 deadlock with Hickory. The score doesn't tell half the facts of the game because the Devils played good ball but couIcIn't capitalize. There were ten seniors on the squad which had what might be called a fairly successful season. Season's Record MCDONALD OPPONENTS 0 ............. .... S outh Fayette .................... The goal of the Lettermen's Club has always been to promote a high standard of sportsmanship and to have good relations with opponents in all athletic events. Composed of boys who take part in sports activities at lVl.l'l.S., this organization is a contri- buting factor in the successful athletic program of the school. Isabelle Robertson, this year's Varsity Ball Queen, was chosen by the Lettermen's Club. The LETTERMEN'S CLUB Club worked hard in decorating for the dance and in contributing to its success. 5 Dale Miller was chosen as the I959 athlete of the year. This is another decision made by the club. The coaches, lVlr. Garry and Mr. I-lepe, and the members of the club have worked hard for another year so that the club could maintain its chief goal, that of sportsmanship.
