LATIN CLUB The Latin Club had a very successful and busy year. Like many of the clubs of McDonald High School, the Latins raised money for field trips and banquets. To accomplish this, the club sold stationery and sponsored a dance. The club went to the Buhl Planetarium to vis- it the Latin Exhibit in which some of the mem- bers had entered an exhibit. They saw a show on the stars in the days of glorious Rome. The annual Saturnalia, which is a Roman banquet carried out in Roman fashion, was held late in December. The menu is entirely Roman with cheese, olives, bread, and honey. At this time, the new members were welcomed into the club. This year, the Latins had a mascot. The familiar gentleman is Mucius Scaevola who was a distinguished Roman.
