The highlight of the Football Dance was the crowning of the Queen, Ruth Ann Daniels. As her Maid of Honor, the queen chose Head Cheerleader Peggy Masquelier. In an impressive ceremony, the Queen was escorted to her throne by Howard Bellaire and crowned by Gene Penberthy, l957 football co-captains. The Queen was at- tended by the cheerleaders, the Pep Club officers, and the senior majorettes. Patricia Howell was crown bearer and Keith Kovach was the Red Devil. The coronation will remain as a high spot of the school year to anyone who was fortunate enough to attend it. ,

Behind our athletic teams is a group of hard-working boys known as the managers. The managers should receive extra credit because they have served faithfully throughout the football and basketball seasons. They worked long and hard keeping up the Old McDonald Spirit for the players. They have to take the jokes when the players are in good moods and they are the object of everything ANAGERS when the players lose their tempers. Among their many and varied responsi- bilities are the care of equipment, lining of the Held for home games, keeping sports statistics, and being prepared with a first-aid kit. What would we do without the managers? Let's recognize the managers and give them the appreciation that is due.
