Red Devils Again Contenders for Championship For the second consecutive year the Red ,Devils were contenders for the XV. P. I. A. li. Class B chauipionship. Again the Macs had an undefeated and untied season in reg- ular schedule. The team was eligible to enter thc cliainpionsliip playoff because it gained the most points in Class B competition un- der the Gardner Point system. Although defeated in the championship ganie, the entire tcani played a hard-fought game and gained more yardage and more first downs than did the opponents. The Athletic Council again sponsored the annual football banquet when well de- served honor was paid to Head Coach Guy Tornabene, Assistant Coaches Edward Hepe and Edward Blockowicz, Co-captains Robert Kliiuas and Paul Chitf, the entire team, illlil the nianagers for bringing such a successful football season to M. H. S. Mr. Tornabenc had the distinction of being nained lVashington County Coach of the Year.
