Kem Klub Reorganizes The Kean Klub was reorganized this year under the direction of Mr. Blockowiez. The club is made up of Uheinistry students inter- ested in a career based on science. At ineet- ings held every Thursday noon, reports are given on recent scientific developments, and experiments are perfornxcd by the inenibers. The Kem Klub joined the Science Club of America and. early in the year, the mein- bers purchased pins. Movies dealing with all brauclies of science were enjoyed by the stu- dents and proved to be of value in class work. lgatcr in the year a very successful dance was held and a banquet was planned. Ofliccrs of the Kem Klub are: Ronald Mcfllain, presidentg Joseph Rehak. vice pres- identg Delores Randour, secretaryg Alice Me- W reath, treasurerg and Judith Stevenson, re- porter. Projector Club Proves Useful to School The Projector Club is one of the most popular clubs of M. H. S. The reason for its popularity is the many movies enjoyed by the students. Mr. Blockowicz, the director, takes time from his busy schedule to give individ- ual instruction to the club iueinliers-teaclr ing them the operation of the projection ap- paratus. This includes the setting up, taking apart, and putting away of the projector, pho- nograph, P. A. system, and spotlights. M r. Bloc-kowicz has also given instruction on the operation of the tri-purpose tilnislide projec- tor. Otlicers elected this year included : Gary Uhitf, presidentg hvlllltfllll Dillon, vice presi- dentg Shirley llonaldson, secretary-treasurerQ and Robert Johnston, reporter.

F. H. A. Girls Interested in Homemaking The F. ll. A. is made up of sophomore, junior, and senior girls who desire in the fu- ture years to be capable housewives in well- run homes. The club is sponsored by Miss 'De- lores Annnons, head of the Home Economics Department. At Christinss time the club members brought in various toys which they refinished. These toys were given to the Chamber of Connnerce to be distributed to needy families. F. N. C. Leads to The Future Nurses Club is composed of sophomore, junior, and senior girls who are interested in a nursing career, or one of its ul- lied professions. This year the club was under the direction of the school nurse, Mrs. Eliza- beth Abell. The aims of the club are to recruit girls for nursing. to acquaint the girls with the duties, tltlV2lllfilQjCS, und rewards of nursing. and to make them funiiliur with the different phases of nursing. Members of the F. N. U. und senior The zumual style show was as usual a great success. Home Economies students inod- eled the articles of clothing which they had made throughout the year. ' The F. II. A. officers for this year were: Joan Supinski, presidentg Donna Galloway, vice presidentg Gloria Mazzocco, seeretaryg Huguette Gaillard, treasurerg Frances De- Blunder, historiang and Shirley Domildsoii, degree eliairman. Nursing Career home nursing students visited the Mercy hos- pital during Open House. hater in the year a member of the Army Nurse Corps talked to the girls. 'l'hree senior girls have nmde applica- tions und have been accepted by Pittsburgh schools of nursing.
