A TIME TO REMEMBER Turn the pages, one by one — all the pictures, happy faces: The classroom scenes, the halls and gym, and shots of other places — Ball game parties, after school, the old pond where we played — The teachers and the other staff whose impact will not fade. Oh, look! the stage — the one on which we acted out our dreams, And here is one of the Senior prom and crepe paper by the reams Hung everywhere like the whisps of webs that bind us to our past: The happy days of school and youth that slip away so fast. Somewhere out beyond these walls in the classrooms of our lives We’ll all look back to these warm years to guide us through the strife. And turning page by page, this book will stir our memories Of all we learned and dreamed about when we were young and free. What makes a memory ? Is it people or just places? Do we see it in the candid shot or rows of smiling faces ? Shining back across the years to warm some future cold December A touch of glory, warm and bright — these golden moments to remember. A Time To Remember Helen For the past 12 years, Helen Smith has been with Mc- Cune High. As the class of '75' graduates, there are more than a dozen students who Helen has seen grow up since first grade. She has outlasted 5 principals, and is probably the one factor that keeps McCune High School going.
