Mr. Brunetti impressed upon us that scholastic achievement was not the only essential factor to build a strong, stable character. His concept of quality was that of brotherliness, fellowship, companionship, and a competitive spirit. He presented to us a purpose, to improve ourselves and our school. He set for us an example that exemplified tolerence, firmness and vigor. He was a unique individual. Sheila Johnston 'V ly. .■ v? • .; r if V •' sVf • vl. l - .r ;. «? - ■ ■. ' • , 4 4 « - ; ,•;. ; . Today, not yesterday We are alive in such an age.. We, the youth, see Things that surely should not be. Men speak strong for brotherhood. Yes, they want peace, universal good. Freedom for all, equality, Our country strives for unity. When progress rides the winds so high. And on the edges of the sky. We the youth proclaim the things to be- In the forthcoming century. The rise of woman to her place. The birth of a much nobler race. Man, a challenge to the very sky Where the endless realms of conquest lie. We rise from despairing knees; And hear our brothers wanting pleas. Throw forth thy troubles from thy mind And pray to God for all mankind. Give thanks with all thy burning heart. Pray but to have in it a part Of the wisdom of thy heritage. Though we, who are youth, have not much age. Carry in our minds a torch we bear. And through our love for you we swear To see the challenge to fight it through. To build the future, for mankind, we love you. -Christy Jones 2 DEDICATED TO THE YOUTH OF TODAY- THE BUILDING BLOCKS OF THE FUTURE
