We, the Eagle Staff, dedicate this Yearbook to the Spirit of the McCune High School, which has risen to its peak in the last 99 years. Helen Carol Walker, Class of '25 School Spirit is- DEDICATION School spirit is the song Black and' ’’Gold. School Spirit is a cheerleader yelling until she has lost her voice but still won't give up. It's when your team is behind too far to win and you keep cheering them on. School spirit is the funny feeling that goes through you when someone says something bad about your school. McCune is the first school I've seen where the faculty takes part in the school activities and enjoys them. For these reasons I think McCune High School has the best definition of School Spirit. by Gary Goad School Spirit It whispers as you hear footsteps in the hall. It speaks aloud at the end of a six-week's period. It screams and shouts at a pep rally. It is challenged at any athletic contest. It electrifies the specators. It urgers a team on to victory, and it is not forgotten in defeat. It is found in every nook and comer of the school. It is acquired by every student who sets in a class room and wonders as the knowledge ol their teachers. It is with you all through] school and it never leaves you all throughi klife.
