The at band performed excellent half-time shows, highlighted by creative formations and a colorful array of flags. Many changes were made in the band this year. Tommy Tuggie was hired as assistant band director and the auxiliaries received new equipment and uniforms, which added color to the performances. Twelve squad leaders helped teach the band by example. Most of our success this year was due to the excellent example set by the squad leaders, said Director Ed Schutz. The band performed at football games, marched in parades, and competed at the Marching Bands of America contest and at the U.l.L. marching contest. l'll never forget the fun times I had in the band, said Kris Thompson, senior.
