l l l W tie one o hen it comes to drawing, paint- ing, and sculpting, the Art Club puts its creativity to work. Students tie-dyed shirts as a fundrais- ing activity. Since the shirts are back in fashion, the students combined their tal- ents to create a new and unique fun- draiser. It became an outgrowth of 60s nos- talgia, said Mike Stratton, sponsor. We did it partly because it was fun and partly because it was a good way to raise mon- ey. As a year-end finale, the annual art show displayed the student talent. The club works hard to give life to the otherwise drab walls of the school, said Anne Marie Hopkins, Sponsor. This year's club is the largest and most en- thusiastic yet, they're all wonderful. 3 2 the future reativity from design to com- pletion helped industrial arts T students stay on the edge of technologically-based educa- tion. According to Jerry Bernhardt, sponsor, there are three major objectives for the Industrial Arts Club: The first is to have fun learning about the many industrial fields of today. The second is to promote industrial technology. This is accom- plished by the many classes offered in Visual Communications, in Manufacturing Technology, and in Constructional Tech- nology. The final objective is to promote school - community relations. The mem- bers have applied the technology they have learned to design, build, and main- tain the Spirit Helmet. They have de- signed the Spirit Chain and sold links to raise money for scholarships. The lndu trial Arts Club also participates in a Chris mas party, a workshop for junior hig students, Regional and State Compe tions, and the Odyessey of the Minc Competition. As president Don Gutierre said, Industrial Arts has broadened rr horizons in education by experiencir new things each year. The McCullough Spirit helmet revs up at a football game.
