Don't tell me you don't like to read about yourself in the paper or hear your name broadcasted over the P.A, into the ears of 2,000 students. That's great but throughout the years a special garment was invented for the purposes of rec- ognition, I like to think of it as a long sleeve billboard. Not only does a letter jacket impress the Ietterless under- classmen, it shows your interest in sports, clubs and other organizations. A letter jacket is something to be proud of, otherwise none of us would have our name plastered on the back. The front of the jacket shows what you have lettered in and how many times. The sleeves come in handy to show all of the wonderful things you have done. I-low about practical purposes? I don't know many girls who aren't willing to wear their boyfriends jacket. It is a way for the girls to announce who they are dating, without saying a word. Well guys, have you thought about how strange it is that you do all the work to earn a letter jacket, then spend big bucks to spify it up - and you don't even get to wear it? Just keep in mind the importance of a letter jacket! Whether your jackets Red Green or White it shows school spirit and dedication to McCullough. You might even want to wear it when it gets cold . . .
