She be- lieves that, among other things, being in karate improves flexibility, balance, and muscle con- trol, but, most importantly, karate boosts your self-confidence, says Wortham, who has been training for six years. Wortham, who plans to take the test to be- come a black belt in June this summer, wants to stay in karate as long as she is able. lt's challenging, useful, and a way to keep me out of trouble, said Wortham. She also plans to open a school of her own one day, in order to make the money for college.

This is what Angie . Everett thrives on. Mongle' Leshe Dancing since she was able to walk, Angie has trained for twelve years in bal- let, tap, jazz, and acrobat. l-ler dancing ability has earned her top awards includ- ing, winning the Louisiana State Dance Competition, which qualified her for re- gionals this summer, and to Angie, the Momeleone Man most exciting, was this past summer ' when she competed and placed second in a New York dance competition. Along with her awards, she has had the op- portunity to meet with top dance cho- reographers, such as Tomy Tunes and Finola Hughes, In the future dancing will play an im- portant part in her life. When I graduate l Montgomery' Seth plan to move to New York and audition for shows on Broadway, says this future star.
